This is the first part of the 1:48 scaled Hasegawa kit build ( Kit no: SP 244 ) which is a motorised version of the standard Oscar kit released in 2001
The Sentai 64 Ki43-I was part of the Imperial Japanese Army’s marauding planes in the Malaya invasion and it enjoyed huge successes due to many factors which will not be covered here. The manner and conduct of the 64 Sentai was refelcted during the surrender ceremony in 1945, where the surrendering officer, Major Hideo Miyabe was allowed to keep his katana as a sign of respect of the Japanese pilots by the receiving officer Col James Smith of the RAF. More of the story can be read from the excellent 64 Sentai book published by Kagero.
Back to the kit, the following pictures shows the addition of the Eduard PE upgrade kit in various stage of construction up to the trial of the camo scheme.

The step-by-step highlight will be included in a later part of this build.
