Hold Until Relieved 6 June 1944

After watching The Longest Day and the capturing of ‘Pegasus’ bridge at the Caen canal (actually there were two bridges, the other was over the Orne river nearby) by a Coup de Main force of glider troops from the British Airborne, I was inspired to do a bridge scene, captured and held by the 6th Airborne during the Normandy invasion.

Airfix 1/24 Harrier GR3 [Part 1]

The Harrier jumpjet has always fascinated me when I was a young boy in the late 70s. This was a plane like no other, performing amazing acrobats in mid air like no other, due to its VTOL capability and jet design arrangement. Today, it still has a special place in my modelling heart. The ultimate Harrier kit still remains the 1/24 scale Airfix giant. Though a bit dated in terms of details and coming a little short in terms of accuracy and fit, the kit still packed a wallop when it came to size and sheer impact.

[Hasegawa] Mitsubishi G3M2/M3 Nell 22/23

This Hasegawa 1:72 scale kit was produced in 1997 and is since very hard to come by. Kit 51209 depicts the Nell Bomber, similar to the Bombers that sank the Repulse and the Prince of Wales in WW2
